Bantwal: One injured in truck-auto-rickshaw collision

Bantwal, Feb 13: In an accident that occurred between a truck and an auto-rickshaw at Jakribettu of the taluk on Sunday night, the driver of auto-rickshaw was injured.

Chethan, resident of Bellandur, Polali, is the person who was injured in the collision. He was driving his auto-rickshaw from Baddakatte to Jakribettu.

A truck hit his vehicle as he was crossing the highway opposite Jakribettu pump house. The truck was carrying wooden logs from Beltangady to Mangaluru.

The auto-rickshaw was badly damaged in the accident. Chethan was admitted to hospital and is said to have received minor injury on his leg.

Bantwal traffic police have registered a case in this connection.
