Melrick D’Souza: Echoing dreams from Mangaluru to Ronan Keating iconic show

Mangaluru, Jan 14: Mangaluru native Melrick D’Souza recently experienced the thrill of a lifetime as he performed alongside Ronan Keating's Band during their India visit last month. Ronan Keating, an iconic pop artiste and the best-selling international artiste, led the renowned band Boyzone.

Reflecting on this significant achievement, Melrick shared, "Many more opportunities are yet to come, and with God's grace and everyone's love and support, this journey has become even sweeter."

Born and raised in Mangaluru and Abu Dhabi, Melrick developed a deep admiration for musicians and singers like Arjit Singh, Eminem, and Chester Bennington during his early years.

Fueling his passion for music, Melrick started singing at a young age and showcased his talent during college performances. After working for several years in Abu Dhabi and Qatar, he made the pivotal decision to relocate to Bengaluru, pursuing his dream job as a voice-over artiste. Melrick has lent his voice to esteemed brands such as Yamaha, B-naturals, Bynus, Mahindra, Taiwan, Herbalife, among others.

Known for his role as Promod Shetty in the blockbuster 'Kantara,' Melrick received a nomination at the SIIMA Awards. A significant highlight in his career was reaching the finale of the 7 Up Starters reality show, where he emerged as one of the favourite contestants, earning praise from Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar.
