Mangaluru: ISRO Extends Full Support for Research and Academics to Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Jan1: Srinivas University International Conference on ELECTRONICS, MECHANICAL, AND NANOTECHNOLOGY (ICEMN-2023) inaugural program took place at Hotel Srinivas on December 29, 2023.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Umamaheswaran R., a Distinguished Scientist from ISRO, who announced ISRO's full support for research and academics at Srinivas University. He said, ISRO encourages the involvement of the general public and students, offering them opportunities to visit ISRO and gain knowledge in satellite and rocket technology.

Dr. CA A Raghavendra Rao, Honorable Chancellor of Srinivas University informed participants in his presidential address that Srinivas University would facilitate Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), combined research activities, and collaborations. He envisioned Srinivas University becoming a leading institution in research and sought increased cooperation from ISRO.

Dr. A Srinivas Rao, Honorable Pro Chancellor of Srinivas University, Chief guest of the program pledged strong support for research activities and expressed the university's commitment to fostering collaborative research.

 

Dr. S. Muralikrishna, a Scientist from the Sensor Technology Lab at King Mongkut's University of Technology, Thailand, emphasized the role of nano technology and advancements in Li-ion batteries in the overall technological process.

Dr. Anil Kumar, Vice Chancellor I/C & Registrar, Srinivas University, discussed the current trends and opportunities available for students in technical fields.

Approximately 100 papers from the UK, Malaysia, and across the country were registered for the conference. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Registrar of Development, and Dr. Thomas Pinto, Dean, Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dr. Naveen Kumar J R, Head of Electronics, were present at the program.

Prof. Srinath Rao introduced the chief guests to the audience. Dr. Praveen B.M. welcomed the gathering, and Prof. Chaitra expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. Prof. Rohan commence the program.
