Kasargod: Kerala govt orders name boards to be only in Malayalam, English

Kasargod, Dec 8: The office administration reform department of Kerala government has instructed to display the name boards in all government departments only in Malayalam and English languages.

The instruction says to display name in Malayalam on half portion of the board and English in another half. On vehicles, the instruction directs to display the department in Malayalam on front and English behind the vehicle.

All the official stamps, names of officers and their designation should be in English and Malayalam. All register books including attendance registers should be in Malayalam. All files should be in Malayalam language.

This circular is applicable to Kasargod district also. The Kannadigas living in the district are concerned that all the Kannada name boards in offices, schools and vehicles will be removed.
