Puttur: Dheeraj M of St Philomena College honoured with Prof Krishnamoorthy Gold Medal

Puttur, Jun 4: Dheeraj M of St Philomena College has been awarded Prof Krishnamoorthy Gold Medal on securing 1197/1200 marks in mathematics in the Mangalore University Examinations conducted in 2021- 22. He is the university topper in BSc mathematics. This prestigious institution award has been founded by MGM College Udupi.

On the occasion of 74th Annual Day celebration of the college held on 25 May, Dheeraj was honoured by Dr H S Ballal, president, The Academy of General Education, Manipal, chief guest Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent, KMC, Manipal and Prof Laxminarayana Karanth, principal MGM College, Udupi.

Dheeraj is the III rank holder in the BSc examination conducted by the Mangalore University. Currently, he is pursuing MSc in organic chemistry. As a St Philomenite, Dheeraj M has carried out a summer research project as an Inspire-SHE Scholar at CSIR Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and also a literature project as an IAS-Summer Research Fellow at department of chemistry, IIT Bombay.

Principal of St Philomena College Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro congratulated him on his achievements and wished him many more laurels on his pursuit of knowledge.
