Puttur: St Philomena College holds valedictory function of IT fest 'VISION 2023'

Puttur, May 28: Department of Computer Science of St Philomena College, Puttur organised the valedictory function of intradepartmental IT fest 'VISION 2023' in the silver jubilee memorial hall of the college on May 26.

Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, principal of the college presided over the programme. In his presidential remarks he said that, "In the current global competitive scenario, the competitions of the kind provide a platform to bring out the latent talents and skills in them and at college level they help in developing self confidence among the students. Working with peers in groups always play a key role in inculcating leadership qualities, analytical ability, critical thinking, managing stress and so on and so forth. These skills will contribute immensely at the times of professional wellbeing. If the winning brings laurels, losing helps in learning life lessons. In any circumstances both the winner and loser will gain an experience unprecedented."

VISION -23 conducted competitions in model making, paper presentation, collage, code war, web design, project lead, documentary, IT quiz and group dance.

15 teams participated. Johnviston Titus Dias and team 'IT ELITES' emerged overall champions. Karthik KR team 'WEB SPIDERS' bagged first runner-up and Prakhyath team 'ERROR EMPERORS ' bagged second runner -up.

Disha and Apoorva rendered prayer. Rajeshwari M, coordinator of 'Pinnacle IT Club' gave introductory remarks and welcomed. Dean of Department of Computer Science proposed vote of thanks. Asst professor Varija M read out the names of the prize winners. Asst professor Sowmya competed the programme. Johnviston Titus Dias, president of 'Pinnacle IT Club' was present on the dais.
