Mangaluru: Tulu film ‘Pirkilu’ to hit screens on May 26

Mangaluru, Apr 13: “’‘Pirkilu’ Tulu film produced by Sathish Perne and Shivaprasad Ijnavu under the banner of Karavali cinemas and directed H D Arya will be released all over the coastal region on May 26,” said veteran drama actor of Tulu, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor speaking in the news conference.

The film was shot for 29 days in three stages at Sullia, Puttur, Mangaluru, Kuria and Uppinangady and it has received U/A certificate. Pirkilu is a film of comedy and family entertainment. It is based on a story that is liked by all groups of people in the form of a comedy. Director H D Arya has written the story, script and dialogues. Babita has translated the dialogues to Tulu.

The cast consists mainly of Tulunada Manikya, Arvind Bolar, Navarasa Raja Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Deepak Rai Panaje and Ravi Ramakunja. Vardhan and Sudesh play the lead and Salomi D’Souza and Latha have acted as the lead actresses in the film.

Sumitra Rai, Amita, Navin Bondel, Arpan, Anil Rai, Ranjith Rai, Thimmappa Kulal, Prabhaker Shetty, Mohan Soni and others also have acted in the film.

Costumes are by Latha and the team of directors consists of Deepu and Aradhya. Keerthi has assisted in photography, Disha and Dileep in makeup, A R Krishna and Abhishek Rao in editing, V Manohar in music, Sridhar Karkera and V Manohar in script.

Photography is by A R Krishna. Sathish Perne and Shivuprasad Ijnavu are the producers.

The things ventured by boys who are called Pirkilu by local villagers are portrayed in comic surroundings in the film.
