Bantwal: Husband urges police to conduct impartial probe of wife's suicide act

Bantwal, Mar 27: A married woman of Sajipapadu grama and resident of, Senarabettu had ended her life at her residence on February 14. Her husband suspected the cause of her extreme step and urged the SP to conduct an impartial probe and take legal action against those who abetted her suicide act.

Beena C, wife of Sathish here had committed suicide by hanging on February 14. As the ear phone was on her ear and her mobile phone was down on the floor, the husband has suspected a systematic conspiracy behind her death.

The husband of the deceased was employed in Mangaluru and he used to visit home once a week. It is said that the deceased had developed friendly relations with a man, who was harassing her mentally and physically. The deceased had telephoned her mother 10 days before her extreme act using the friend’s mobile informing her that her daughter was attempting suicide as the man was harassing her.

The man had telephoned her mother on the day of the suicide informing her that the woman was ending her life, alleged the husband of the deceased. A case in this connection has registered at Bantwal rural police station 20 days after her death. The husband and the relatives have also complained to the human rights commission requesting the authorities to provide justice.
