Kasargod: Decomposed remains of missing teacher found in well

Kasargod, Mar 27: The decomposed body of a teacher who had been reported missing for six days was found in a well on the premises of a private hospital in Karandakkad, Ashwini Nagar, Kasargod on Monday afternoon.

The deceased, identified as 51-year-old T V Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Mattannur and a teacher at Manya Jnanodaya aided school, was discovered by police who responded to complaints from nearby residents of a foul smell emanating from the well.

Following investigations, the police identified the body as that of the missing teacher. The deceased's wife had filed a missing person report on March 22, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

The fire brigade personnel retrieved the body and the family members confirmed the identity of the deceased.

Forensic experts have arrived at the scene to collect details, and the body has been taken to the morgue at Kasargod general hospital.
