Washington, May 23 (PTI) Noting that Osama bin Laden episode only confirms that Islamabad as an ally in the War against terror cannot be trusted, a top BJP leader has said that the US obsession with Pakistan has allowed China to expand its area of influence while keeping its hands clean.
"It is important to remember that the US obsession with Pakistan has allowed China to expand its area of influence while keeping its hands clean," senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said in his remarks on US-India relationship here.
"The deep nexus which the Chinese military has been able to establish with the Pakistan armed forces is already strong enough to deny US its strategic space in Asia," Prasad said in his remarks at the event jointly organized by the US-India Security Forum and The Hudson Institute; both of which are Washington-based think-tanks.
