Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) organises national webinar for faculty

Mangaluru, Jan 29: St Agnes College (Autonomous), here, in association with Sophia Girls’ College (Autonomous), Ajmer, Rajasthan on January 25 hosted a national webinar for the faculty on the topic 'Ideas of Collaborations'.

The inaugural programme started with a short prayer. Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the principal of St Agnes Institutions elaborated the importance of collaborations in the competitive edge. Dr Neethu Suraj, the dean of Commerce and Business administration and the organizing secretary of the webinar introduced the resource speaker Dr Monika Kannan, the dean of Research and the coordinator of IQAC, Sophia Girls’ College (Autonomous), Ajmer and Dolan Champa Banerjee, the department Head of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce and convenor of the webinar moderated the whole session.

Dr Kannan focussed on joint research programmes and activities, faculty and student exchange programme and academic visits, exchange of academic publications and other academic materials, input in syllabi development for academic programmes, joint seminars, conferences, FDPs and workshops leading to academic synergies between both organisations which leads to publication opportunities, employment creation and also various win-win situations for both the collaborating partners.

More than 90 faculty from different states participated in the webinar. The session was followed by questions and answer through the chatbox.

Dr V Premananda, associate professor of the Post Graduate Department of Psychology rendered the vote of thanks. The session concluded with a feedback form. All the participants thanked the organizers and felt it would definitely help them to nurture their respective future and suggested more online input sessions of the same kind. E-certificates were issued to all the participants.
