We have noticed if the statement says, the work will start SOON means it takes ages to start. Why the MLA can not anounce the date or month to start the work, as the amount is already been sanctioned.

Good initiative by MLA. He should make it sure that full amount is used for the improvement of Jetty and there should not be any malpractice. Dead body also opens mouth while money is involved (kannada saying : hana andate henavu bai toreyutte).

Finally, the government has woken up. The reconstruction and repair of damaged jetty has been neglected over many years. As a result, the fishermen and the workers were exposed to risk of life. Obviously, the operational capacity of the fishing port was substantially reduced directly resulting into financial loss to the fishing Industry, to the government and most of all, to the people who depended on the port for their livelihood.

While the entire fishermen community is thankful to our MLA, we request that the sanctioned amount is efficiently used for the reconstruction job without allowing room for corrupt elements to swindle this meagre amount.
