Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 26: In a major spike, Dakshina Kannada reported 420 new coronavirus cases and eight deaths on Saturday.
Over 152 people were discharged on Saturday taking the total discharges in the district to 15,946.
As many as 21,667 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 420 on Saturday, and 5,217 cases are currently active.
As per the state bulletin, 502 deaths have occurred till date in the district.
Udupi
As per the state health bulletin, Udupi reported 57 fresh coronavirus cases and zero deaths on Saturday.
Over 116 people were discharged on Saturday raising the total discharges in the district to 14,395.
As many as 16,034 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 57 on Saturday and 1,496 cases are currently active. As per the state bulletin, 143 deaths have occurred so far in the district.
