Bengaluru: Petition questioning ministerial berths to MLCs adjourned

Bengaluru, Sep 24: A public interest litigation (PIL) filed by an advocate from the city A S Harish came up for hearing in the high court on Wednesday, September 23. The PIL seeks directions from the high court to the state government against elevating H Vishwanath, MTB Nagaraj and R Shankar, who were recently made members of the legislative council.

The PIL came before a bench of the high court presided over by Chief Justice A S Oka. Advocate Prashant Bhushan who appeared online, argued in favour of the petitioner. The high court adjourned the hearing to October 5 after ordering to issue notices to the defendants to file objections to the application if any before October 3.
