Abu Dhabi, Aug 4: Owing to the screening initiatives and other preventive measures, Abu Dhabi witnessed a commendable drop in confirmed cases across the capital city with regard to per tests conducted.

Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disaster Committee reported that Abu Dhabi's per total tests stands at 0.3 percent in comparison to 0.6 percent in Al Ain and 0.4 percent in Al Dhafrah.

Community cooperation and commitment in adhering to the precautionary measures issued has played a major role in the declined statistics.

During the first month of its home screening initiative, authorities had conducted more than two lac tests in 15 residential neighbourhoods as of July 27.

Residents flying to UAE are mandatorily present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result at check in - those at risk are denied travelling permission. Additionally, anyone seeking to enter the city must present a negative test report not older than 48 hours.
