Udupi: DCIB police arrest two drug peddlers, confiscate 1.4 kg of Ganja

Udupi, Jul 16: DCIB police inspector Manjappa D R and staff on a tip-off have arrested Abdul Rauf (20), resident of Shivalli village, Udupi and Aftab Ali (24) resident of Kolalagiri, Udupi near Valley View Country club, Shimbra, Shivalli village on charges of drug peddling. The personnel confiscated 1.4 kg of Ganja, two mobile phones and Yamaha Fascino scooter No. KA20 ET8293 used by the suspects for drug peddling and handed them over to Manipal police station where a case against them is registered. The total value of confiscated items is approximately Rs 1.45 lac.

DCIB unit ASI Ravichandra and Ramu Hegde, Chandra Shetty, Suresha, Santhosh Kunder, Raghavendra Uppunda, Rajkumar, Dayananda Prabhu, Shivananda and driver Raghavendra took part in the operation under guidance of additional SP Kumarchandra and Udupi subdivision ASP T R Jaishankar who operated under the directions of Udupi DSP Vishnuvardhan.
