Beltangady, Jul 12: Another death due to coronavirus has been reported in Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday July 12.

The deceased is a resident of Pilichamundikallu in Kuvettu village of Beltangady.

He was aged 60.


It is learnt that he had shown symptoms of coronavirus for the past few days.

A swab test was conducted two days ago, and the result which was received on Sunday morning confirmed that he had contracted the virus.

The same morning, the man passed away in his home.

The funeral will be conducted in Beltangady under the direction of local tehsildar.

With this, the coronavirus death toll in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 42. The coronavirus tally crossed the 2000-mark on Saturday July 11, with 186 new cases recorded in the district, the highest single-day spike so far.

    Young people may not get affected by Covid-19.
    But, as a carrier of virus, they are bring to the home virus from outside.

    Because of Young people, - Aged parents, Children, Wife in home or relatives with Co-morbid condition are getting affected.

    Young people should follow social distancing & save the Co-morbid people in the family.
