Mangaluru: Kannada short film Puttana stirs curiosity among moviegoers for its unique plot

Mangaluru, Jul 8: A Kannada short film named 'Puttanna' produced and directed by Srikrishna Sharma has aroused a lot of curiosity among moviegoers. It is a movie with a unique and experimental concept and is based on the logic 'what you see is the truth' (Kandaddu Satya).
 
It has also been selected by Lift of Global Networks and First time Filmmakers Season, London.
 
VJ Vineeth who had acted in Tulu movies 'Enna,' 'Rambarotti' and Kannada movies 'Ondu Motteya Kathe' and 'Birbal' is playing in the lead role.  Udayaprasad, Vishwanath Asaigoli, Athmik Krishna, Shashiprabha and Vivekananda are the other star cast of the movie.
 






 
Kishore Shetty is the music director, while the script, screenplay and dialogue are written by Udayaprasad N J. Manu Holla, Varun Krishna and Pavan Bhat and Dheeraj have are the talents behind the camera.
 
The audio rights of the movie have already been purchased by Anand Videos while some Malayalam directors have expressed their interest in acquiring the rights to make a remake of the movie, said the director, Srikrishna Sharma.
 
Srikrishna Sharma has had the experience of serving as an assistant director in movies like 'Ondalla Eradalla' and 'Badava Rascal.'
 
The  first poster of the Puttanna was recently released by Vasuki Vaibhav, noted Kannada music director. The movie release date is expected to be announced shortly.
