Mangaluru: MLA U T Khader helps coronavirus patient get hospitalised

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru Jul 4: Showing kind gesture yet again, MLA U T Khader helped a coronavirus patient in getting him admitted to a hospital.

The incident took place in Deralakatte. The patient who was tested positive had to wait in an ambulance for half an hour to get admitted to a private hospital. The 27-year-old man was waiting in the ambulance for his admission to the hospital due to the reported failure of the health department in getting him hospitalised.

The private hospital, due to the lack of coordination with the health department, had denied admission to the patient as there was no permission from the district administration.

This issue was brought to the notice of MLA U T Khader, when he was on his way to some other area. Khader visited Deralakatte and made necessary arrangements and the man who waiting in the ambulance was admitted to the hospital.

Raj Shetty/Mangalore, Dubai. Your accusation that I am favouring a particular political party is ill-founded. The list of the persons who I consider giving a good account of themselves includes people from not just one party. It includes people from two parties. Please read my comments once again and resist the temptation of blindly supporting people just because they happen to come from the party who seem to be having a liking for. I urge you to give credit only to those politicians who deserve support. Please resist the temptation of blindly supporting a party or a person. Think about the country and not just the political party. The country is more important than any person or party.

This came after similar case was reported in Bangalore in which health Minister B Sriramulu issued show cause notice to 18 hospitals.
I appreciate MLA U T Khader for his help despite knowing the risk pandemic.

There are many cases reported in the past from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Telengana were patient denied treatment on the basis of religion and died due to improper care. This discrimination of the patient need to be stopped immediately.

I request the Health Minister, District In-charge Minister and District Commissioner to take necessary step so that no patient in need denied medical assistance and get dignified burial regardless of their faith.

People like Khader and Moidin Bava are always at the forefront in coming to the rescue of the needy. It is so unfortunate and sad that the so called literate people of our district acted in a very illogical and illiterate manner and elected people who are good for nothing. This district needs people like Khader, Bava, Lobo and another corporator Manohar Shetty and not the present lot who are hiding during these difficult times.

Sri, what happens if you have such situations with you and loved ones and hospitals denies entry how you will handle? This virus is dangerous and not impacts based on caste or religion. When it hits no one know the next stage of life. So be supportive to people to give hand and help. Basically hospital has to arrange thier ways of handling covid19 otherwise many people will have issues with covid and nonncovid in the hospitals. It is all.managing with medical facilities and quarantine
