Threat to blow up Mumbai's Taj Hotel, security tightened

Mumbai, Jun 30 (IANS): Security has been tightened around the famed Hotel Taj Mahal Palace near Gateway of India after a threat to blow it up, official sources said here on Tuesday.

A threat call was received by the hotel around 12.30 a.m. after which the Mumbai Police was informed, the sources said, adding that the call was purportedly made from Karachi in Pakistan and the caller threatened to blow up the hotel with bombs.

Not taking any chances, security has been tightened in the hotel's vicinity and further investigation are underway.

The hotel was the prime target of Pakistani terrorists during the November 26, 2008 Mumbai terror strikes.

    Whenever the BJP government is caught in difficult position, either national security threat or threat Prime Minister has become new norms.

    The nation must have averted the big tragedy in Delhi with the arrest of J&K DSP Davinder Singh transporting Hizbul Mujahdeen terrorist in government vehicle with automatic rifle. This is the same DSP who has mentioned in the letter Afzal Guru to his lawyer.

    Now with Chinese threat and Covid-19 peaks the top in Maharashtra the nation should be in full alert and prepared for all out war situation.

    This phone is nothing but diversionary tactics, from the real issue to deflect the nation. But there are no compromise for national security.

    26/11 mumbai attack without the help of sleeping cell in mumbai would have not materialised. D-Gang behind the attack with the help from ISI.
    They even not left famous Iranian Shia Cafe Leopold Cafe. Held hostage many in Taj..even jewish family.

    Hemant karkerea was murdered and the diamond was looted which was in sale in taj hotel . few people excaped by helicopter who do not belong our county . all preplanned like pulwama attack .
