Udupi: DC Jagadeesha denotifies 616 areas previously declared as containment zones

Udupi, Jun 30: Over 616 areas of Udupi district which were earlier declared as containment zones have now been denotified by the deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh. After certain people from the said areas tested positive for the coronavirus, the areas were declared as containment zones.

With the 14 days of quarantine completed, and since no new cases were reported, the areas were denotified. The denotification will now facilitate the functioning of certain activities which earlier were disallowed for these zones. However, the activities that are allowed will have to follow the state guidelines.

The denotified areas include Pernankila, Belapu, Nadpal, Inna, Heruru, Nalluru, 76-Badagubettu, Yadthare, Golihole, Bijuru, Shirva, Nada, Puttur, Nadsal, Navunda, Gangoli, Hemmadi, Shirror, Maravanthe, Kambadakone, Kirimanjeshwara, Kalthodu, Uppunda, Teggarse, Navunda, Jadkal, Golihole, Byndoor, Vandse, Chithur, Nitte, Miyar, Hirgan, Kanajar, Thekkatte, Basruru, Gulvadi, Kodi, Udyavara, Manipura, Heroor, Kodavoor, Ampar, Thrasi, Senapura, Kukkunduru, Bola, Palli, Varanga, Kundapur TMC, Karkala TMC, and many other places of Udupi, Kundapur, Karkala, Byndoor and Brahmavar taluks
