Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, Jun 30: Karnataka technical education board has already announced that examinations will be held for polytechnic students on July 15 in the manner SSLC and PUC examinations are held. Students writing SSLC and PUC examinations belong to the state. Therefore, they do not face major hardships.

But students from both inside the state and outside the state study in 356 polytechnics in the control of the board. Students from Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra and other states study in those colleges considering the better quality of education.

14 days quarantine is mandatory for people coming from other states to Karnataka. Entry of people from some other states is banned. If students from other states are infected by coronavirus, it may spread to other students in the state.

Though the government has stated that it will implement a carry over system, the circular is not released yet. Carry over does not apply to final year students. Therefore, the government should intervene for the wellbeing of students and help to postpone the examinations, requested Murdeswhar based student leader, Ison Derrick Pereira to the government in a press release.
