Bengaluru: Two teachers suspended for sharing contemptuous WhatsApp message, comment

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Mar 31: Two teachers from Shivamogga district have been suspended from service. They had shared a voice message that was uploaded in WhatsApp and also commented on it. The message was in the form of ridiculing chief minister of the state B S Yediyurappa, on the issue of his request to the people to donate to Chief Minister's Relief Fund at a time when the state and country are grappling with coronavirus pandemic.

The teaches who drew the ire of the department are Dakya Naik, assistant teacher of government higher primary school, Thimmapura, Sorab taluk, and Raju, cluster resource person of Anavatti. Zilla panchayat chief executive officer M L Vaishali, issued the orders suspending them.

The country is going through lockdown in its fight against coronavirus. All the teachers and lecturers have been asked to work from home till April 11. The teachers therefore are expected to conduct their academic activities from their homes.

The state government has formed Chief Ministers Relief Fund to tackle coronavirus, and the people are asked to donate to it generously. Some miscreants, who ridiculed the government for this measure, uploaded a voice message, telling the government that they have a list of where the money is, duly asking the chief minister whether he is free. The content of the voice recording is in the form deriding the chief minister, it is said.

Dakya Naik had shared this WhatsApp message in a group called 'CRC Anavatti Teachers Friends'. Raju, who checked the record, commented by saying 'really right sir'. Raju happens to be the admin of the group.

The zilla panchayat objected to the content, saying that being government servants, they were wrong in posting socially hurtful audio in social media against people's representatives who are constitutionally elected, at a time when the people are undergoing hardships on account of coronavirus.

If you can not donate, then keep quite.
Country is run by people's money.
It doesn't fall from the sky.
Donation request is to only those who can donate.

How many are constitutionally elected and how many unconstitutionally elected in india to suspend the teachers...?its their democratic right to comment. Instead of suspending them, check why there are no enough funds with the government and govt begs from people when people themselves are in trouble and also check where exactly the money goes to in the name of corona.

Do you know? In the country we have 545 MP's,
    245 Rajya Sabha MP's
    In all the states 4120 MLA's. :

    Altogether 4910 public representatives.

If all these people's representatives together give ₹ 5 lakh from their personal accounts to the Government of India. So India can collect Rs 2,455,000,000. to fight the corona epidemic.

Why every time the people of middle class family of the country are appealed to help the country?

Do these politicians not have any responsibility and accountability towards the people of India?

After all, why do these honorable MPs and MLAs, after spending their own MPs and MLA funds, present the proof of being the true public representative of the country and get rid of their duties?

While that money is given by the public to the government in the form of tax to run and develop the country. Can not the Prime Minister of our country, Shri Narendra Modi, appeal to his public representatives for the national interest?

Therefore, we request our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to appeal to these honorable public representatives of India to donate Rs. 5 lakhs from his personal accounts to serve the country. So that the people of the country can make money for economic and health works during this time of emergency.

    A true Indian.
