Udupi: Wayward truck inflicts loss of Rs 4 lac, detained

Udupi, Mar 23: A truck which hit and demolished the street light and solar blinker installed on the road divider at Kota Amrutheshwari temple also damaged the CCTV camera installed by Kota police station there. The accident happened in the wee hours of Sunday, March 22.

The truck in question was moving to Udupi from Maharashtra via Kundapur when the driver lost control over the vehicle and caused the accident. The driver continued to move ahead after the accident. But he was compelled to stop the vehicle about two km ahead as the diesel tanker began to leak.

This incident has inflicted loss of Rs 2.8 lac to Navayuga company and one lac rupees to Kota police station which lost its CCTV camera, it is said. The truck has been confiscated and a case was registered against the truck driver.

A case about the accident was registered iota police station.

    What about the truck driver whether he was intoxicated which the press do not highlight after the accident the vehicle has run 2kms mind blowing
