Bengaluru: Serial accident - Mohammed Nalapad arrested, released on bail

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Feb 12: Mohammed Nalapad, who is facing the accusation of causing serial accident with his Bentley car near Mekhri Circle in the city, was arrested by police. Nalapad arrived to the police station to give clarification in the accident case. He was immediately arrested by the police. However, Nalapad was immediately released on special bail.

Sadashivanagar police station inspector Nagaraju took a bond from Nalapad and released him on special bail. This information was shared by Ravikantegowda, joint commissioner of traffic to the media.

Nalapad became emotional in front of the media, before he went to the police station. He said, "After the Vidwat assault incident I have changed a lot. But still you people call me 'Goonda'. Do I not have self-consciousness? Am I not a human being?"

"The accident that occurred at Mekhri Circle is just an accident. I did not bang my car against any other vehicle. In fact I was not driving. Balu was driving the car at the time of the accident. Some new channel had telecast that Balu does not know how to drive. Everyone knows about it," said Nalapad.

Nalapad further said, "I have 87-year-old grandfather and grandmother at home. When an accident occurs the news gets published in newspaper. The headlines will say that two people died. What people who read the news think? Why you people are spreading false news about me?"

Nalapad also said that he knows who are behind this kind of false propaganda about him. He also clarified that he will fight out the same in court.

How police zeroed in on Nalapad

After the accident, the police, in spite of efforts made by the concerned to bail out Nalapad, found that the son of MLA N A Haris, was responsible for this accident. It may be recalled that Nalapad's name had hogged limelight when he violently beat up a youth at the UB City last year.

The accident involving Bentley car had happened at the underpass near Mekhri Circle. The police found that the car in question belonged to Nalapad. But Nalapad's body guard, Balu, who came to the police station, claimed that Nalapad was not driving the car. He owned up responsibility and said he was the one who was driving.

The police got suspicious. They wanted to know from Balu whether he was drunk at that time, why did he drive so fast etc but Balu failed to provide convincing reply.

The police then led Balu to the Bentley car, handed over the key, and asked him to start the car. By then, Balu had developed cold feet. Balu in fact did not know how to start the car. Therefore, the police came to know for sure that Balu was not behind the wheels at the time of the accident. The gunman, Balu, is currently in the custody of Sadashivanagar police.

This is height of Political, money and power influence. Imagine if it was any ordinary citizen, other than these influential, they would have been behind bars and no bail in this case.
So flow of power, flow of money, free flow of influence and what not, would have just happened within few minutes of this incident and police at their service.
Look at how our systems work. One phone call to the senior Police officials saying : " Namma Janarri, bittu bidi illandrey nimmannu .... navu nodthivi.." ...!
    God save our country. !!

Why released on bail ? Put him behind bar for another six months. He was arrested / surrendered after three days of the incident , it shows some vested interests have allowed him to take time to get rid of all traces of alcohol.
