Karkala: Help young Vinol Saldanha to recover from cancer

Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (SB)

Karkala, Feb 6: When Vinol Saldanha was born, his parents were overwhelmed with joy and profusely thanked the Lord for his wonderful gift. Being a single child for his parents, Vinol got all the attention and love from them. Within a few days of joining the school, Vinol became dearest to teachers and his friends because of his smartness and brilliance in studies.

When he reached the sixth standard, on a fateful day, Vinol fell sick and his parents took him to the doctor. After a detailed examination, the doctor found B-Acute Leukemia syndrome (blood cancer) in Vinol’s blood. It was the most shocking news for his parents and teachers. The depressed parents started to make all out efforts to save the life of their son and have already spent over Rs two lac for his treatment.

As per the suggestion of the doctors, for getting specialized treatment, the parents of Vinol admitted him to Kasturba Hospital, Manipal and he is currently undergoing treatment in that hospital. The special treatment prescribes chemotherapy for the next two and half years which is estimated to cost more than Rs six lac and Vinol’s parents are unable to meet this unexpectedly huge amount of money.

Vinol’s father, Vincent Saldanha, works as a driver for a living and is unable to raise that kind of amount for the treatment. He has only a small piece of land and no other source of income. Since his little son is suffering from cancer at this young age, he is badly in need of helping hands from generous people.

Daijiworld readers are known to be generous. Their generosity is highly proclaimed and has inspired others in the matter of humanity. This time, on behalf of Vinol, his parents are humbly appealing the readers to help them to save their son. They hope readers with their generous contributions will help Vinol to get a new and healthy life.

Those who wish to help Vinol are requested to send in their contribution as per the details provided below:

According to the latest information,1 out of 10 is going to suffer from cancer.. Mainly because of the food habits, excess use of plastics, contamination of water ,vegitables with pesticides and fertilizer ,use of MSG in food etc. Fast food,Road side eatery, packed food with preservatives ,bottled water/ cold drinks are all contributes which the media or doctors do not highlight. They only point towards execes use of tobacco and pan.
