Kasargod: Kayyaru Don Bosco AUP School celebrates 84th annual day

Kasargod, Jan 25: The 84th anniversary celebration of Kayyaru Don Bosco AUP School was held on January 24.

The programme was presided over by Fr Antony M Shera, secretary of Mangalore Catholic education society.

The guests of honour included Paivalike gram panchayat member Rajivi Rai, Manjeshwar DDPI Dinesh V, block project officer Guruprasad Rai, school convenor Fr Ivan Peter D'Mello, vice president of Kayyar Christa Raja Church pastoral council George D'Almeida, school headmaster Peter Rodrigues, president of PTA association Chidananda Mayya, president of Mathe asociation Renuka and school pupil leader Aranya T Shaji.



Prizes were distributed to parents of students of the school, who won the various sports events that were organized as part of the annual day celebration by gram panchayat member Rajivi Rai.

Block planning officer Guruprasad distributed mementos to students who bagged prizes in various activities competing at district level of UP division. Teachers Magdalene Crasta, Praseeda and Shanti D'Souza read the names of the winners.

Brilliant student of the school Vinyas was felicitated by Fr Antony M Shera. Convener of school Fr Ivan Peter D'Mello welcomed the gathering. Teacher Lancy D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by teachers Cyril Crasta, Sr Reena, Sr Jasmine and Favina.

Cultural programme by students of the school continued after the stage programme.

Sports Day, as part of the annual day celebration was held for students and parents on January 23. PTA president Chidananda Mayya hoisted the flag.
