'Kanakapura Chalo' agitation against erection of Jesus statue on Jan 13

Daijiworld Media Network - Ramanagara (SP)

Ramanagara, Jan 13: Under an initiative led by former minister D K Shivakumar, a 114-feet statue of Jesus Christ, touted to be the tallest in the world, was planned to be built over Kapala Betta in the district and works had started. This issue acquired widespread attention and there were vociferous criticism of Shivakumar, who had laid the foundation stone for the project at Kapala Betta in Kanakapura taluk in the district. Because of strong opposition, the work was suspended. In the meanwhile, a programme titled 'Kanakapura Chalo' is being held to register people's opposition to the project on Monday January 13.

The workers engaged for sculpting the statue at Kapala Betta have left the spot. The area is now deserted and guarded by police personnel. Dignitaries who will take part in today's protest programme include Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and former minister and BJP leader C P Yogeshwar.

A ten-acre plot was sanctioned to Kapala Betta Development Committee. The plan to build a statue there was criticized by many as they felt it is an initiative pertaining to a particular religion. Shivakumar, who laid foundation stone for the project during the Christmas last month had faced ire of the people and ruling party leaders alike.

About 10,000 activists from various parts of the state including Bengaluru, Ramannagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Tumakuru and other places are expected to congregate for the protest today. In view of planned protest, police security at the Kapala Betta has been beefed up. As huge protest is planned in Kanakapura town, tight security has been enforced and the police are checking vehicles. Over a thousand police have been deployed and the police have barred people from going to Kapala Betta today.

District superintendent of police Anoop Shetty, said that permission to hold protest was sought and time was granted between 11 am to 1 pm on Monday to hold the protest. He said that there is no scope for creating disturbances during the protest, and those who violate law will be acted against strictly. He said that a superintendent of police, an assistant superintendent of police, two deputy superintendents of police, ten circle police inspectors and 30 sub-inspectors have been deployed on security duty.

We never oppose and we will not do like they do coz God says I came to this earth for the sake of sinner and not for good people. So whoever oppose they will repent Just watch and see.

In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus all the designs and gimmicks of the satan will be destroyed and burned in the fires of hell, never to return. They may destroy churches or followers of Jesus. But no one can ever silence or sideline the power of Jesus. Jesus becomes more powerful and supreme in the phase of opposition and persecution. So just do not be afraid. Just live your faith and keep doing good. The name of Jesus will save all who pronounce His Holy and mighty name. We don't need statues and monuments to proclaim Jesus. The power and truth of Jesus will sustain and proclaim itself. So let's not engage in any politics or show of strength. Just wait and see. And time will tell.

Jesus on why changeable weather and earthquakes...

    Message to Valentina, Sydney.
    27 July 2019

Valentina, people are talking and wondering why you have such changeable weather all over the world. I tell you now, you are all going through the last pages of the book I spoke to you, in John, the Book of Revelation and the period of changes in the world. History is about to change forever.”

“I, the Lord, Myself,” He said moving His holy hand in a sweeping circle, “am doing this.”

“I keep shifting your courses of history and they are disturbing your weather and the nature is confused. Even science cannot find an answer as to why all this is happening. Drastically, they are moving and disturbing your planet, until mankind realises that it is God in control of everything, but man is blind and will remain blind and they have no knowledge of My Creation because they are not spiritual enough to discern right from wrong.”

“These disturbing events will persist and will bring catastrophic disasters, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, droughts, heat waves, icy weather, storms and so on, but still this will not awaken people to pray and to change men’s hearts. Their hearts will remain icy cold but this will not change them because their pride will prevent them from doing so, until My fire will come from Heaven to cleanse all evil from this sinful world.”

We humans want to be gods and desire to decorate our graves. A man born in a manger, who did not have a permanent home, no personal private grave would care less his statue on a betta.
Its the religious sentiments of his followers to erect Jesus' statue and the fear of the thousands of that stone statue. Do they oppose Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's statue? No. Because it won't do any harm. They fear Jesus statue has more power! If truth is buried it will rise. In any case Jesus will have more power than his statue. They have to oppose him and his teaching if they want to waste time on chalo!

Plainly speaking, I don't think most of the Christians are keen to erect statue of Jesus; for our population is low, therefore Jesus statue is vulnerable to attack from mischief mongers and hostile elements.
But, how quickly hardliners instigated and mobilized massive public against erection of Jesus statue, let the whole world know about it!
Would they mobilize public against social evil like drug menace or for supporting better causes?

Manu..there is an issue here. Statue of Jesus is being built not on government land or it's not hindu's land and government is not funding the same. So, Kalladka Bhat has no business to poke his dirty nose there. If there were no chrisitans in India, then Indians would have been illiterate as lot of christian run schools are catering to all irrespective of religion. Also, how many hospitals are being run by Christians? They cater to all irrespective of religion. If statue of Jesus is not allowed to be erected there then we need to ask UAE government to take back land given to build temple. No muslim questioned UAE government for their noble act of providing land to build temple and churches and now why we should oppose for statue of Jesus? If Bhatta has to do anything good for hindus then let him do good for downtrodden and lower caste hindus...

    Public

    Message to Maureen

Once again, I (Maureen) see a Great Flame that I have come to know as the Heart of God the Father. He says: "Obedience to My Commandments* is proof of your love for Me."

    * The Ten Commandments

    1. I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have strange gods before Me.
    2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
    3. Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.
    4. Honor thy father and thy mother.
    5. Thou shalt not kill.
    6. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
    7. Thou shalt not steal.
    8. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
    9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife.
    10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods.

    December 31, 2012 (excerpt)

"I am your Jesus, born Incarnate."

"My Commandments of Love, though given to you in the New Testament, are, in Truth, the embodiment of the Ten Commandments given to Moses in days of old."

"To live in Holy Love is a way of thinking, a way of being, a way of a sound relationship with Me and with My Father."

Man's idols are too much addiction to power, money, pleasures, wealth, And Also too much popularity, too much adoring cinestars, sports (stars), materialism, too much believing in one's or others strength, beauty, intelligence, opinions all these worldly things one often worship in excess instead of worshipping God, which are also against 1st commandment of God and not statues !!
