Bantwal: CAA is fight between 'Indianness' and 'Brahminism' - Former IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Dec 28: "This is a fight between Indianness and Brahminism. We have to conduct one more Independent struggle with patience and courage, holding the tricolour, in the non-violence mode shown by Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhiji," said former DC of Dakshina Kannada district and IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil.

Sasikanth was speaking at the 'Brihat Samrakshana Samavesha' under the theme of 'Oppose CAA, Save Constitution' that was organized by Vittal Muslim Union on Friday, December 27 at the campus of Vittal Central Juma Masjid opposing the NRC and CAA acts introduced by the central government.

Senthil further said, "PM Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah are implementing their agenda under the boundaries of Fascism. Now they have come to the point of questioning the citizenship of Indians. But the calculation of Modi and Amit Shah has gone for a toss after they saw nation-wide protest against the act. This can be understood by the speech that was given in fear by PM Modi at the Ramleela grounds of New Delhi recently."

"Fascism and Brahminism have come together and are trying to turn this nation into a Hindu Rashtra. Not only Muslim and Dalits but even my Hindu brothers are being fooled by the central government. Hindus have to first understand what Hindu Rashtra is. This is a caste-based idea of Manurashtra. This is a system in which Brahmins will be at the top and rest all Hindus will live at the bottom of the society.

"In addition to questioning the government on the basis of religion, every citizen of this country has to vehemently oppose the policy of the central government. Instead of NRC, a national survey of unemployed Indians needs to be done.

"Let this struggle be continuous. Let us hold the tricolour firmly. Let us see who is going to take away our rights. Let them build detention centres. Let us live there also. When government officials visit your home ask for clear cut information. This is a survey to ask details for NPR and NRC. Do not give information under any circumstances for NPR. If they visit your home, give them coffee, tea or juice and send them back. Give information only that is required for census.

"People who were chanting 'Mera Desh Mera Desh' are in the process of seeing the real country for the first time. Media is under the clutches of Fascism. When the students of universities are expressing their unhappiness over the unconstitutional laws, the government is trying to suppress them by using police force. What can be expected for governments, which do not even pay heed to the road protests of university students of the country?

"At present, in this country, not only minorities but majority is also facing danger. Our struggle is being stopped in the name of India. We have to fight against the conspirators. Patience, courage and unification is required at this moment."

M A Mohammed did the inauguration speech. President of Muslim Union V H Ashraf presided over the function. Convener of the programme Kalandar did the introductory speech.

V H Ashraf welcomed the gathering. Naufal compered the event as well as rendered the vote of thanks.

‘Our Constitution is the best in the world, Do not allow it to get destroyed’

"Our constitution is the best in the whole world. We should not give opportunity to any attempt to destroy or twist the same. If we allow that to happen, it would be a great insult to our nation," said former DC and IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil.

Sasikanth was speaking at the seminar on the subject of 'NRC, CAA and NPR' organized by the Bantwal unit of National Confederation of Human Rights Organizations (NCHRO) at B C Road on the evening of Friday, December 27.

Sasikanth further said, "The government is saying that there is no relation between NPR and NRC. This is like saying there is no relation between the Chicken and the egg. Do not get fooled by such lies. The present BJP government, which is completely immersed in Fascism and Brahminism is fooling the citizens of this country in the name of patriotism. This kind of experiment is not conducted only in India. This is a universal problem.

"The methodology of administrative system is not right. This truth has to be conveyed to the people. I resigned my job in order to face these kind of forces in the country. Dakshina Kannada is my district. Speaking to people of this district gives me immense joy. There are people who say there is no problem for Indians or Muslims due to the implementation of NRC and CAA. But as these laws are against the constitution, they have to be opposed.

"Under any circumstances do not cooperate with the NPR survey. Do not let out information. They create incidents of Hollywood style in order to captivate the public. But we should not become pawns to their games. If we are united, they cannot do anything.

"Let us follow the path of Mahatma Gandhi in order to save our Constitution which was given by the great Dr Ambedkar. Do not be coward. But at the same time there is no need of any violence. Let us achieve our goal through peace and harmony and show what is India."

State vice-president of NCHRO Mohammed Kakkinje did the introductory speech. Lawyer Mohammed Kabir welcomed the gathering. Akbar Ali Ponnodi compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.

If this is true then it has to be highlighted by all political parties to the 95% of the Hindus who do not belong to the upper caste. At-last it is time that we the people of India should realize that we become doormats of the Government and the upper class who have a diabolic agenda of divide and rule when we support candidates on caste basis during elections and on social causes. If we support "INDIA" and her growth, then no misleading statements of our politicians will work against the country.

The 95% Hindus now know that the life in theocratic countries are far worse than Daliths of this country. There are lot of Daliths among the Bangladeshi migrants. Matuas are majority of them. Now this Dalith card will also backfire as the Majority of immigrants in Bengal are Matuas. SO how can you say that CAA is anti dalith?

One may understand your protest against NRC. But what has it got to do with CAA? It is clear that CAA is for accommodating and benefiting the persecuted minorities of three neighbouring countries only, not related to Indians who are already citizens. It is a humanitarian act and all who stand for liberty, equality, dignity and respect for human beings are expected to welcome it.

CAA and NRC, FOR and AGAINST agitations and the aforesaid article has again revealed that there is sharp division and mistrust between Brahmins and Dalits.
Therefore Dalits seems to have forged political alignment with Muslims. It's necessary to restore trust between communities for peaceful co-existence.

Your protest will boomerang when opposite forces also unite. The brahminism what you are talking is a thing of past. Ask any Hindu in Udupi and Mangalore , wether he knows manushashthra you will be surprised to know that most Hindus do not know this . They never have read it. Hindusim is a way of life and atleast some 20% of Hindus are agnostics just like the phenomena in europe. Hinduism cannot pick radicalism but a counter to radicalism which could be very potent at one juncture of time. Hinduism can be reformed as there is no one code which Hindus have to follow.

Senthil says brahmanism. but both Mr Modi & Shah are not Brahmins. infact Mr Modi is from backward caste. How can Brahmins have sway when bulk of the Hindus are OBCs.

He must be belonging to the Dravidian party founded by one Erode Ramaswamy Naicker ( who is actually a Kannada speaking Tamilian ). He was practising rationalism and was an anti brahmin. According to him, Ram is Aryan and Ravana is Dravidian. But these stupids do not know that Ram is Kshatriya and Ravana was a Brahmin. Mr Sasikanth must be belonging to these cadres.

What about Christianity, you ask. If you look around, Christianity is building schools and colleges, Christianity is building hospitals etc. And in these schools, colleges and hospitals, all are welcomed respective of cast, color or status. and yeah, Christianity rarely gets into politics.
The result of this is generation of jobs, prepares our youngsters for gainful employment, thus contributing immensely to the society. Now is a good time to move away from hate, try to contribute to the society and maintain peace and harmony which are cornerstones for the development of our economy.

Kiran..I personally respect his decision to quit. What happens if government does not allow to perform his duties/ due diligence etc?! We all have some sort of weakness and it’s very important to get into bylaws of our great constitution and our constitutional rights. I am not saying folks supporting or not supporting are right or wrong. Our India is not in need of such laws at the moment. There are many more serious and critical issues to be addressed and to be taken care of. Unemployment, significant drop in imports/ manufacturing industries sectors/ tragedy of aviation industry, look at cash inflow big time hit and there are many more things. Time has come for us as each citizen to understand and learn and see where are we heading.
