Shivamogga: Youth kills 5-year-old niece for damaging mobile phone

Daijiworld Media Network - Shivamogga (MS)

Shivamogga, Dec 15: In a heart-wrenching incident that has occurred in the Gadikoppa extension of the district, a man allegedly stabbed and killed his five-year-old niece when she was asleep over a trivial issue regarding mobile phone.

The unfortunate victim of this incident has been identified as Ranjini (5). She was allegedly killed by Santhosh (23), the younger brother of Ranjini's mother.

Ranjini's parents are of Chitradurga-origin and live there. However, they had left their daughter Ranjini under the care of her grandparents in Shivamogga. Santhosh is reportedly mentally unstable and had quarreled at home urging his parents to buy him a mobile phone. Santhosh's father had finally relented and bought a mobile phone for him.

However, the young Ranjini had played with Santhosh's new phone and damaged it in the process, it is said. Since then, Santhosh had been allegedly nursing a grudge against her. As revenge, he allegedly stabbed Ranjini when she was asleep and killed her.

Tunganagar police visited the spot and took accused Santhosh into custody and registered a case in this connection.

Very sad... May this Angel Ranjini rest in peace... When Ranjini's mother knows that her brother is a mental person, she should not have kept her child there...

Very sad to hear a young and holy life has been destroyed by a cruel person. Some religious people and books say to see god in human being. but in todays world we see full of demons in this worldy life. I wish I would have been a butcher So that I could teach lessons to demons. But I am really cuffed and blind to see all this happening to children in this World. My tears to all the child/children who are gone with pain. very sorry to say I could not help the child/children.

Keep your children with you don't throw them in grandparents hands
If you cannot look after them please don't produce children if your job and money is greater than your children then forget children and run after money only
