Mangaluru, Dec 6: In an incident which happened near Kaneeruthota at Kolya near here on December 4, the locals caught hold of one among the three persons who were found lurking at night to commit theft. The man who was nabbed by the people has been identified as Abdul Taufiq (20) from Madani Nagar, Kuthar.
At around 3.30 am on Wednesday, three persons including Taufiq were found to be hiding and planning to steal. A local who found their movement suspicious, alerted the locals. When people came together, the other two succeeded in escaping, while Taufiq was caught.
He was later handed over to the police. Ullal police are investigating.
