Mangaluru: Alwin Francis Fernandes from Permannur commits suicide

Mangaluru, Nov 8: Alwin Francis Fernandes, former central council member of ICYM, committed suicide by hanging.

The incident came to light on Friday, November 8.

Alwin was the former president of Mangaluru south deanery also. He is a resident of Ullala Uliya, St Sebastian second ward of Permannur Church.

His funeral will be held on Friday, November 8 at 3 pm at Permannur Church.

Heartfelt condolences to the family. It is possible, that the compared to 30year back the teaching on heaven and hell has reduced and that may be 1more reason of sucide increase. Dilution of values could be 1 more reason. We need to go back to our basic values that this life is journey and our goal is heaven.

What ails Mangaluru and Dakshin Kannada citizens ??? Priests, young and old committing sucide, recklessly !!!! High time now, to open immediate counseling and psychiatric centers, helplines to come to the aid of traumatised citizens.....
