I don't think road repair is required specially for VP at the moment. As a citizen of this country one has to experience the road condition by travelling on the unrepaired roads. It is all taxpayers money used for emergency repair of the road in a hurry for without proper planning. This must stop. Elected representatives should work for the people but here people work for elected representatives.

Sad Political situation by govt officials. It is a disgrace. Tax payers money is spent to please & cater the corrupt politicions, for their visit. Why cant PM Modi & other polititicions get the first hand knowledge of the conditions we live in . Let them travel on the roads filled with pot holes.Go thru Ghats & see the conditions and serve without corruption.

There is this holy temple at the outskirts of Sakleshpura which can be accessed only by road from Mangalore. If visited, by next weekend, second term as Vice President is guaranteed for Hon. Venkaiah Naidu. Could someone ask him to visit. The road condition from Mangalore to Sakleshpura us really very bad. Please do not consider flying helicopter, as the landing would involve negotiating dangerous terrain.

Then for what is toll collected. We give toll to keep roads ready when president or VVIP's visit .
Let us write this to president. I have written. But I feel nothing would help as he himself does not care. Last time when he (Mr.Kovind) visited UDUPI people in the carstreet were harassed to close shops 48 hours before his visit. All common people on daily basis business were effected.

Don't touch roads till he arrives here, let it be in same condition. It's not him who uses this road daily. He is visiting for day. Why to waste government fund just for his visit. Let him enjoy the roads of Mangalore. If you ever wish to repair, repair it for the purpose of people who use this road daily.

If the roads are getting repaired during the visit of politicians how will the ministers will know the situation of the public during the others days of the year? Condition how they live etc? When they visit they see everything is nice and developed but that is just for that moment. They don't have a clue about how the citizens live in the place on the other days. In such case... If development is carrying on Let's invite invite all the politicians one by one to Mangalore through out the year !

All over the world road work and repair of civic amenities is done during the night when traffic and other activity is less to inconvenience the road users and others - not so in India , work starts and is done when there is maximum traffic and the authorities really don’t care about inconveniencing the public. Total disregard !!!!

First of all Shame on DC!!!!! So far she was not aware or not bothered to know the condition of the roads!!!!! Secondly, as a DC, she have the Commanding Power which she didn’t used to do good to the ordinary citizens, that clearly shows the mindset of the people who are in Power!!!!! We the common people has to live to pay taxes in favour of the mighty one's so that they enjoy their life Fully!
Does that mean, are the politicians and Buerocratrs wrong??? Not at all! We, those who voted USELESS No.1 MP again and again are No.1 Idiots!!!!!!
As long as we don't STOP the " ￰ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಪೂಜೆ " and start worshiping the " ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪೂಜೆ " India cannot be a developed County, whatever our NRI PM say, next time our hunger index number would be 117/117 if same Juumlas continue as the one happened two days back : VISIT TO J&K by EU MP's!!!!!!

Shame on us coz we only run behind them and gather in their rally's extending our support.
Also the D.C. is capable of repairing the roads only when she needs and not the people of mangalore.

DID WE ELECT THE REPRESENTATIVES TO MAKE DEVELOPMENT ONLY FOR THEM????
I mean all these days the roads were OK for us normal citizens..... now suddenly the Vice President wants nice roads? Are we paying TOLL on these roads to keep it proper only for CHOSEN FEW??? What about us? Are we rats or some crap??? We pay the taxes and only Bureaucrats, Ministers and VVIPs will enjoy the facilities at our cost?? Where are all the educated Bhakts???
This has to change.... this is what our elected representatives need to talk about.... and not get into unwanted communal hatred and divisive politics.
    WE NEED DEVELOPMENT & GROWTH.
WE NEED A GOOD LIFE for the Taxes we pay.
