Mangaluru, Oct 17: The Koragajja in Padavinangady was broken into, and its sanctum sanctorum was defiled, by sub-regulators of a cooperative organisation. The act marred the religious beliefs of the place and was heavily criticised by the Dalit Sanghrakshak Samiti (DSS).

The DSS organisation called for the immediate suspension of the officers who caused harm to the religious sentiments of the people. A silent protest, led by the DSS group of Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada branch was held on G H S Road, in front of Janatha Bazaar, Mangaluru. The protests condemned the act and demanded retribution against the responsible individuals.

The DSS district convener Sesappa Nekkilu, Moodibidri taluka convener Honayya Thodaru, taluka Samiti officers, activists and the devotees were present.
