Udupi: Mother of Sorrows church celebrates titular feast

Udupi, Sep 16: The titular feast of Mother of Sorrows church, Udupi was celebrated with zeal and devotion on Sunday September 15.

Fr Vijay D’Souza, Assistant Parish priest Kundapur was the chief celebrant for the Eucharistic celebrations.  Fr Valerian Mendonca, parish priest Fr Steevan Fernandes, assistant parish priest Fr Johnson Sequeira, Principal St Mary's English Medium School, Kanarpady,  Fr Fredrick D’Souza, parish priest, Manipal Church,  Fr Vincent Crasta, Secretary CESU Udupi,  Fr William Martis and other priests from Udupi diocese were present on the occasion.



Fr Vijay D'Souza in his homily signified the sacrifices of mother Mary.  Parish choir group sang hymns in honor of Mother Mary.

Fr Valerian Mendonca distributed festal candles to donors of the Eucharistic celebration.

Seven days novena was conducted prior to the feast.

A large number of devotees took part in the Eucharistic celebrations.
