Mumbai: Mumbai University Kannada department holds lecture, confers degrees

Mumbai, Sep 16: The Kannada department of Mumbai University held a series of talks and distributed degrees to its students at Santacruz east on Saturday afternoon.

The programme was presided over by head of the department of Kannada, Dr G N Upadhya. Vijayakumar Shetty delivered a special lecture on personality development by dramatics class.



The programme commenced with a song created by B S Kurkal sung by Kala Bhagwath, Shantala Hegde, Parvati Poojary and Shashikala Hegde. Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra president Rons Bantwal welcomed the gathering and presented an introduction. Kannada department lecturer Dr Poornima S Shetty introduced the guests and compered the programme. S Daya rendered the vote of thanks.
