Girgit was not just a tulu movie, for the first in the history of tulu cinema. Girgit which made whopping 3.5 crores in just 3 weeks after its release , the only Tulu cinema which made the Rich and poor .. Hindus, Muslim and christen family's came out with groups to watch this movie, this support of tulwas gave a huge success and boost to this movie.... the first movie without vulgar comedy gave a positive respond to all Mangaloreans ... I would say it was Girgit festival across DK.. never seen people standing in Q for all the shows across Mangalore , jyothis theatre got its charm back on its final days before it gets demolished .... all the best team Girgit for making mangaloreans watch for the first time in such a massive numbers
