Mangaluru Sep 7: The eco-friendly apartment complex ‘Palace Gardens' by MAC and VK Associates was inaugurated by former MLA J R Lobo, former minister Abhayachandra Jain and parish priest of Bejai church Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza at Bejai on Saturday, September 7.

Parish priest of Bejai Church, Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza, blessed the building.

Addressing the gathering, J R Lobo said, "It is always a challenge for the builder to come up with such a beautiful apartment, especially during economic crisis. The builders have taken a bold step in constructing as well as marketing this apartment.”

MLC Ivan D’Souza said, "Palace Gardens has a good design and has come up in a prime location of Mangaluru. Today, ‘A’ block of Palace Gardens is inaugurated. The block houses 50 families. It is like a village to have 50 families at one place.”

Former minister Ramanath Rai, ex-corporator Lancelot Pinto, District Women Congress president Shalet Pinto and others were present. Dr Clarance Miranda compered the event.

The project is the brainchild of promoter Roger M Pinto, owner of Mangalore Proprieties and Vijay Kumar Sorake. This is the 8th project under the banner of Mangalore Properties.

“Creating landmarks has always been my passion and we are trying the do the same with Palace Gardens,” said Roger Pinto.

Palace Gardens is Mangaluru's first eco-friendly apartment complex which gives the resident a resort like feel in the heart of Mangaluru city.

The residents can have a share of both modern living as well as eco-friendly living in a single package. Over 60% open space is kept to grow fruit yielding trees like Hybrid Mango, Gum Less Jack, Avocados, Rambutan, Jamun etc.

Nestled between Bejai and NH66, the project site gives a green cover within the apartment complex with fruiting trees, organic garden and landscaped greenery on 3 sides.

This project gives the owner more than 30% undivided rights than similar other apartments in the city, as there is proportionately more ownership of land as there are fewer flats per acre. This gives the resident a better future value.

Palace Gardens has 120 apartments built in 1.35 acres land, overlooking the highway with 3 side road connectivity to Bejai through Bejai new road, Bejai Kapikad road and Bejai Anegundi road. There is a direct road linking to the highway which is just 110 mts away.

After the tremendous success of bookings, received for Block A, the project has launched 2 more Blocks namely Block B which comprises of 30 apartments and Block C which comprises of 40 apartments with a schedule to complete by 2021.
