Man arrested for sending ex-HR manager over 250 'romantic' messages

Mumbai, Jul 12: For over three months, a 31-year-old employee of a company stalked his ex-HR manager. The accused has been identified as Yogesh Naik.

Yogesh has been also accused for threatening the brother of the HR manager. Further, it was found that the accused sent over 250 'romantic' messages via seven different email addresses and over 10 messages from three different mobile numbers on the victim's WhatsApp.

The constant annoyance caused by the accused troubled the victim who then approached her seniors at the BPO firm she worked. Soon after, the victim also lodged a complaint at the local police station. Yogesh was arrested on a Wednesday, following which he was booked for harassment on Thursday, Jul 11.

MIDC Senior Inspector, Nitin Alaknure, in stated that Naik had got upset and left the job in March last week after the HR had blocked his number.
