Mumbai : Man arrested for stabbing wife to death suspecting her of having an affair

Mumbai, Jun 20: Sabi Alam Abdul Gafar Ansari 25 was arrested on Sunday for stabbing his wife Nazia Ansari eight times with a knife, in Bhiwandi's Mhada colony. Though Nazia was taken to a nearby hospital, she succumbed to her injuries due to heavy blood loss.

According to the police, Ansari was a drug addict and suspected his wife of having an extramarital affair. As per Hindustan times, Nizampur police station inspector, Manikrao Jadhav said "Gafar and Nazia married around four years ago. It was a love marriage. However, within a year, they started quarreling over different issues. Gafar also had doubts that his wife was in a relationship with another man."

"They had frequent arguments over it. On Sunday, Gafar left home early in the morning and returned drunk. They had another argument and Ansari stabbed his wife eight times." Jadhav added.

The police has registered a murder case against Gafar, under sections 302, 352 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 37 (1) and 154 of the Maharashtra Police Act.

    Tragic and sad.Alcohol destroys homes ,make couples quarrel,children homeless.Best is when one comes home drunk and starts argument,just avoid argueing,keep quite,because in that stuper one doesnt understand and not in a stage everything goes inside.next day can be in a dry stage make him understand.Heartfelt sympathy to her parents.They lost a young daughter .may her soul rest in peace.
