Customs officials seize gold worth Rs 21.48 lac from passenger at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru, Jun 8: The custom officials at the Mangaluru International Airport seized foreign origin gold concealed in the inner garments worn by a passenger.

The 24 carat gold weighing 647 grams was in powder and paste form. It is valued at 21.48 lac.

The passenger who was trying to smuggle the gold arrived from Dubai by Air India Express flight IX814 on Saturday, June 8.

The passenger has been arrested and produced before the principal senior civil judge.
