Mumbai: Vitobha Bhajana mandira renovation committee holds get-together

Mumbai, Apr 15: “Bhajan is a simple tool to practice devotion. Our ancestors who understood it have given importance to Bhajans to take the young generation toward devotion. The meetings for bhajans have got converted as temples and their renovation is our duty,” said former president of Bharath Bank, and current director V R Kotian.

He was speaking after inaugurating the get-together of Vitobha Bhajana Mandira, Hejmady at Santacruz east Billavara Bhavan, Santacruz east on Saturday evening April 13.



Veteran hotelier Avenue group of hotels director Bola Raghuram K Shetty was the chief guest. Billavara Association Mumbai president Chandrashekar S Poojary, Bharath Bank director Purushotham S Kotian, auditor CA Ashwajith Hejmady, mandira president Umanath Ameen and renovation committee honorary president Bhasker Karkera on the dais spoke on the context.

Vitobha Bhajana Mandira Hejmady renovation committee president Mohandas Hejmady welcomed the gathering and gave an introduction. Mandira committee treasurer Chennappa Suvarna sang a prayer song. Harish Hejmady introduced the guests and compered the programme. Office bearers presented Gandhaprasada, floral and fruit tributes. Mandira committee convener B B Venugopal proposed the vote of thanks.
