Pramod Madhwaraj is JD(S) candidate for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (RJP)

Udupi, Mar 22: Former Congress minister Pramod Madhwaraj has been chosen as the JD(S) candidate for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency.

He has already received the B-form from JD(S).

Madhwaraj had met JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda on Wednesday and on Thursday he met chief minister Kumaraswamy. After that the decision was taken to field him as JD(S) candidate.

Pramod Madhwaraj, who is a Congress party member till now, also applied for JD(S) membership as he does not want any technical problem later.

As per the pact between JD(S) and Congress, It was agreed that JD(S) would field its candidate from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency. But JD(S) could not find a suitable candidate from its party and hence decided to field Pramod Madhwaraj as its candidate from Congress.

Shobha Karandlaje is the BJP candidate from this constituency.

If he would have contested from Congress there was a fight. Gowda family has spoiled the game.

Mogaveeras in the coastal districts have been supporting BJP since long back, he would not even get their votes in Malpe, Kola, Kalmadi areas ....
Yes Billavas, Muslims, Bunts, Catholics and some other castes would vote him ....

It is a sad situation to be in for DK/Udupi.

Vote for Modi for the betterment of the country which could help millions of people (in the last five years and in the long run) or vote for local capable candidates who could improve your district but which would affect the nation negatively in the total count for the overall elections.

I'm a strong believer of vote for candidate and not for party or it's top leaders because MP/MLA 's are the ones who represent us locally and can look into our concerns or solve our problems. It was disappointing when people like JP Hedge and Pramod Madhwaraj lost last time respectively in National & state elections. People of Udupi/Chikkamagaluru have already seen the current sitting MP, doing not much and many people are regretting for the loss of Pramod in last state elections so high time to elect the right candidate for the bright future.

If the people of Udupi are really interested in the development of their region, they should vote for Pramod who has a very good track record. People should not vote on the basis of religion or party. The individual is more important. They should not go the way the people of Mangalore voted in the last MLA election. Despite rendering yeoman service, both J R Lobo and Mohidin Bava were not elected as the voters clearly went by caste and religion. And the result is there for all to see. Progress has come to a grinding halt and nothing is happening around Mangalore. This shouldn't happen anywhere. Think about the country and vote for the best candidate. The county is much more important than any political party.
