Sullia: Youth commits suicide by using country made gun

Sullia, Feb 18: Pratap (24), resident of Jattila House in Nalkoor village near Subrahmanya ended his life by shooting himself with the help of a country made gun. This tragic incident happened on the evening of Sunday February 17.

Pratap, son of Vishwanath, was employed in a private firm at Bengaluru. He had come back home recently. He had thereafter started a self employment venture.

On Sunday, Pratap was alone at home. His parents had left to attend auspicious function in the houses of relatives. His brother also was not at home. Using this opportunity, Pratap turned the gun on himself and ended his life.

When the family members returned home in the evening, they saw Pratap in a pool of blood. He was taken to a private hospital at Mangaluru where the doctors confirmed that he was no more.

A case of unnatural death was registered in Subrahmanya police station about the incident. Policemen have undertaken probe. So far no reasons could be attributed to the youngster's decision to kill himself.
