Mangaluru: Prostitution in Pandeshwar – one arrested

Mangaluru, Feb 9: One person was arrested on charges of running a prostitution racket in Pandeshwar in city.

The arrest was made on Friday, February 8.

Police from Pandeshwar and CCB police jointly raided a lodge located on Old Kent Road in Pandeshwar and arrested Gurunath (39) who is from Hosabale in Shivamogga district.

The person named Jagannath, who was managing the lodge, managed to flee from the place.

It is suspected that the lodge was used for prostitution for long time.  Police raided the place after they received complaints from some local people.
