Sullia: No question of entering politics, says Muttappa Rai

Sullia, Jan 20: "Neither the Jaya Karnataka organization nor me will join any political party for whatever reason. We will support any party that does good work," said, Muttappa Rai, founder president of Jaya Karnataka and president of Karnataka Athletics association.

Muttappa spoke to the scribes after inaugurating the state level half marathon in the town. He further said, "Jaya Karnataka Organization, which started 11 years ago with only 14 people has grown up to a membership of 40 lac. My aim is to get an Olympic medal for the state by supporting athletes. With this aim and vision, I have taken the position of state president. I have several dreams. I have a plan to train the rural athletes by experts. If I am not able to fulfil my aim, I am ready to resign."

P B Sudhakar Rai welcomed the gathering. Chandrappa, state president of Jaya Karnataka organization, Jagadish, district president of Bengaluru, Dinesh Adyar, Sunil Rai, Santosh Madila and Vikyat Rai were present on the dais.
