Moodbidri: MITE Youth Red Cross holds free medical check-up camp

Moodbidri, Jan 11: Mangalore institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Badaga Mijar, held a free medical check-up camp for students of Neerkere government higher primary school and villagers on Friday, January 11. Chief medical officer of the camp, Dr Joslita Rebello created awareness on the importance of health.

Former president of the school and current grama panchayat member Ramesh Shetty commended the social work of MITE. Principal Dr G L Ishwar Prasad who presided over the camp said that children fall sick these days due to malnutrition. “Good health is possible by eating nutritious food and doing exercises,” he said.

Dr Supritha S Devadiga and Dr Ujwal Suvarna helped in examining the patients. Mamatha C compered the programme. A large number of villagers and students benefited from the camp.
