Dhwani Rangasiri Utsava to be held at Dubai on Feb 8

Dubai, Jan 9: The city is set for yet another all-time great, evergreen Kannada drama of Indian theater. Precious parties and entertainment llc on February 8 will present 'Dhwani' Ranga Siri Utsava- cultural fest to mark the 33rd annual celebration of Dhwani Pratishtana at 5.15 pm at Emirates theater, Emirates International School, Jumeirah-Dubai.

'Mruchchakatika' Kannada play will be staged during the fest.

Ancient Samskritha Mahakavi Shudraka’s original work of ‘Murchchakatika’ has been translated to many languages all over India and the world. English versions 'The Toy Cart and 'Little Clay Cart' were hugely popular in US and Europe during the 18th and 19th century itself. Since then, 'Story' has been inspiring many movies across the globe in recent times.

Dr N S Lakshminarayana Bhatta’s Kannada translation will be directed by director Prakashrao Payyar, who is known for his great theater works.

More than 25 amateur artistes of UAE will be living the charter on stage of this popular megha drama.

The cast is: Arathi Adiga, Vasu Bayar, Prabhakar Kamath, Nagabhushan Kashyap, Sapna Kiran, Ashok Anchan, Rudrayya Navali Hiremutt, Mohan B P, Janet Siqueira, Shobitha Premjith, baby Saanvi Rakesh Sharma, Jayanth Shetty, Adesh Hasana, Venkatesh Rao, Jayanth Shetty, Vinayak hedge, Sandya Ravikumar, Jesh Bayar, Sandeep Devadiga, Harish
Poojary, Narasimhan G S, Krishna Kumar, Gururaj Puttur and Shwetha Nadig Sharma.

Music- Arun Carlo, lighting- Arun Manipal, stage design- Ganesh Rai.

Backstage- Sathish Hegde, Anil Pujara, Ritesh Anchan, Santhosh Poojari, Ashok Bailoor, Ganesh Kulal, Sugandaraj bekal, Uday Nanjappa, Sai Mallika,Deepa Mariya and others.
