Kundapur, Sep 15: In a tragic accident, a mother and her three-year-old daughter were killed after a vehicle rammed into their two-wheeler here in Bengaluru on September 13.

Surekha (30) and her daughter Aradhya are the deceased. They are residents of Vandse in Kundapur. Her husband Raghu was also injured in the mishap.

The accident occurred near Lumbini garden in Hebbal at around 11 pm on Thursday when Surekha along with her husband and daughter were returning home after offering pooja.

The family was living in a rented house in Bengaluru. Raghu was running a bakery near his house. On the fateful day, the family had been to their relatives’ house in Byatarayanapura to offer pooja on the occasion of Ganesha festival.

When they reached Lumbini garden, a vehicle hit their two-wheeler in the rear end. Both the mother and daughter were thrown on the road and were run over by the same vehicle. The mother and daughter died on the spot.

Raghu was shifted to hospital by the police. The vehicle that hit the two-wheeler is yet to be traced.
