Bhatkal: Three killed on spot in bike-tempo collision at Manki

Bhatkal, Aug 14: Three people were killed on spot in an accident on national highway 66 at Manki Anthawadi, Honnavar taluk on Tuesday, August 14.

The deceased have been identified as Abhishek Vivek Naik (22) from Kumta, Sangeeta Timappa Gowda (16) and Sandeep Timappa Gowda (12) from Ananthwadi. Sangeeta and Sandeep were siblings.

It is said that the deceased trio was on their way to Kumta from Murudeshwar while their bike collided head-on with an oncoming tempo. The tempo was on its way from Honnavar to Bhatkal. The bike reportedly caught fire and was gutted in the accident.

The bodies were taken to Manki government hospital for post mortem.

Manki police registered a case.
